Kappa Sigma Proposes Return of Delta-Sigma Chapter

On August 19, 2003 representatives from Kappa Sigma International were in Salt Lake City to discuss the return on the Delta-Sigma Chapter of Kappa Sigma in the fall of 2004. Citing the 74-year old history of the chapter, local alumni were told that returning to the University of Utah was a top priority for the Fraternity. In addition, the representative reported they had met with university officials that were also excited to see the return of Kappa Sigma. There will need to be significant work performed by Alumni to aid in the process over the next 24 months to make the return a total success. To keep our Delta-Sigma alumni fully informed of the process, additional information will be added to this web site as needed.

Former Delta-Sigma Chapter House Sold

On Friday the 2nd of January 2003, the former chapter house of Kappa Sigma at the University of Utah was sold. On Wednesday the 8th of January all proceeds were transmitted to the various parties from the close, and Delta-Sigma Properties has therefore paid off the endowment fund loan 0f $81,095, paid the real estate commission, and paid the property taxes that had accrued in the recent past. Thanks to Jack Bollow and Marty Biljanic on a yeoman's job in getting this whole transaction done and being able to get Delta-Sigma 'cashed out'. In addition to working so hard at selling the house, Brother Biljanic also worked hard to preserve the Chapter's Canon and arrange for it to be warehoused.
